Children of war
More and more children in the world know nothing but war. War pervades their lives, penetrates their souls, and alters their perceptions. Not surprisingly, they often find it hard to accept peace as a viable alternative, because they simply do not know it. They fear it, as they fear anything else unknown. They live in a state of fragility made up of deprivation: deprived of family affection, home, education, and school, children raised in violence see war as an absolute and permanent way of life.
Every human being must be given the right to choose. To opt for a different, better alternative.
